Wagner, Peter 1796-1865 Canadian who entered the service of HBC in 1820 c. as a butcher at Fort Vancouver. He settled a claim in 1850 in the big bend of the Willamette, to the south of Etienne Lucier. he became a U.S. citizen in 1859. His daughter Marie married George C. Aplin. Also recorded by his wife Marie Stomis (Chinnok, Sok) were children Rose and Marie Ann - born 1829 - m. Joseph Petrain died 1847 - "22 yrs" was baptized in 1848 at the Plant home on the Prairie, wheree she was living after Wagner's death. Marie Ann m. Joseph Petrain - 1843 - Vanc. II - p. 21 dau.
