Cannon, William ("hunter") 1755 or 1757 - 1854 Came overland with Hunt Astor party. Remained as trapper etc Cannon, who claimed to have been a Revolution- ary War soldier, was a miller for the HBC at Fort Vancouver, and had built Tom McKay's mill on Champoeg Creek. death - Bk. 2 p. 66 see Carso - Hafen, BK. 9 p 51 "singularly obstinate and suspicious old man" - 1836 (81 years old) (Quote from James Douglas letter.)
