    Weston, David 1820-1875 David Weston was an 1842 immigrant from Indiana. He was a blacksmith at Champoeg until the devastating flood of 1861 washed away the town. For many years his house on the claim stood under a hill near a creek east of Champoeg; Weston and members of his family are buried in an unmarked sliver of woods at the edge of his claim.
