Warfield, James 1811-1840-2C From Tenesee, convert, m. Lizette Oyer in 1840 (1818-1846) dau. of Charles Oyer and native. He evidently Wilkes exp. 1841-2 died soon; Lizette married Henry Black on Aug. 7, 1842, "by J.S. Griffin, at the house of Robert Newell before the congregation assembled in Divine Service". She died on the claim in 1846, "leaving 4 children". (By Warfield she had Marie, b. 1837, and Betsy, 1840. Warfield was also guardian of 7-year-old Isabelle Lumbers).
